Some businesses come up with ideas of saving on spending wages, but what about sending staff on a years holiday, without wages?

Well BT have come out and said that this is what they are going to be offering their employees. The staff are being told they can even take a 25% lump sum of their annual pay and take the whole year off, staying at home or getting a holiday off their own back. Another option that is really being pushed forward is to ask some employees to take a one thousand pound lump sum and then go part time for the rest of the year.

So what’s spurred this on? Well basically BT has announced they have made over a whopping 1 billion pounds loss in the first three months of this tax year. So their plan is to reduce the wages to all of their one hundred thousand staff, this way they can save a large sum of spending fees.

So looking at this in a positive light, what do the employees get out of this? Taking the time to be with the family will be nice, especially if the spouse is working, you will still have some income. The other thing that they do mention, is that nobody will be pushed or forced into taking these options. This also means that some can embark on some very long trips or soul searching holidays. Relaxing St Lucia holidays or Egypt Holidays.

However there are problems with this as well, people wont be able to afford to go on any of these holidays. It may be easy for some people to carry on the year with only a small amount of cash but those with families may struggle. So is BT on the right track here? Personally I believe that BT needs to find other ways of sorting out the business instead of letting its employees take the fall.

However if you are one of the lucky ones who can still afford Caribbean holidays, then you may as well enjoy the break.

The Caribbean has been the holiday centre of attention over the past couple of years. You will also find that it has become the newspapers much loved area to write articles about as well, but why is this?

There has always been fascination with celebrities, where they go and what they do on their holidays. The Caribbean looks to have become the meeting place for celebrities these days. Wayne and Coleen Rooney are the two most recent to be spotted on their Barbados holidays. When you look at the papers it becomes apparent that the celebrities choose these sunny holidays, probably for some extra coverage.

It is almost like some of the celebrities are taunting us, we don’t all have the ability to go to the Caribbean and sometimes flights are too infrequent to fit in with our holiday schedules, but not for much longer. British Airways have now said that they will be creating more flights to the Caribbean, making travel more frequent and easier for the general public. So far BA is unmatched for its amount of flights to the Caribbean across the UK. We will be able to see these new flights starting to appear in October.

Trevor McDonald has embarked on a travel documentary this year around all of the Caribbean islands. This is sure to give us all some amazing insight into these wonderful areas, holidays will probably be more sought after, especially after he visits some of the best hotels ad resorts in the world. When you watch the documentary, it will become clear where the best places in the world are to go on holiday.

St Lucia holidays and weddings abroad seem to be something that interests all Celebrities, so if you want to feel like one, then give it a go.

If you do embark on these holidays, you will find that they are not all about having a relaxing time. When you discovered that a celebrity is going to be spending there holiday in the same place as you, what are the chances you will just forget about it? Celebrities love their Caribbean holidays, no matter what they will find a lovely place to stay, have a few drinks and get many pictures placed in the papers back home.

Amy Winehouse has been staying in St Lucia for the past couple of months recovering. Would you not be in there to get a picture if you could, especially seeing as she has been in the papers so much recently.

Johnny Depp owns a three million dollar house in the Bahamas and is a regular visitor. If on your trip to the Bahamas you met him, surely that is enough reason to head out there. However if you dont want to see Johnny Depp (More for the ladies) then Shakira is joint owner of a small island with Roger Waters in the Bahamas. Now visiting these places all of a sudden makes you feel like a celebrity yourself, and when you see them it makes you all giddy and fills you with excitement.

Finally if these “A-listers” aren’t enough for you there is also the world-wide famous actor Nicholas Cage. Well Mr Cage is Johnny Depp’s next door neighbour, so it could be a case that you might bump into the both of them. If you did meet a celeb it would be a great memory to take home and share with your friends.

If you’re interested in having weddings abroad, then you should consider going on St Lucia holidays, you might bump into the famous/Infamous Amy Winehouse.

Just because of Swine Flu, holiday prices in Mexico have plummeted!!

It may come as a surprise to you, but the best holiday destination in the world at the moment is Mexico. There is some really very good reasoning for all of this. With all the bad press Mexico has received about Swine Flu, all of the holiday resorts and travel deals have cut their prices by around fifty percent!!

Because of the situation that Mexico has fallen into, they have had to make some drastic changes to all of their holiday offers. A huge problem for all of this is that Mexico has been losing out on massive amounts of tourism trade. Caribbean holidays have also been affected by this and have lost revenue because of the epidemic across the sea.

You can even find some hotels that will offer you a 1 hundred dollar deposit at the hotel for you to spend on hotel services. So is this the best place to go for your holiday now, as far as it looks it most certainly is. Both the Caribbean and Mexico have not had much good news published about them because of the Swine Flu but the holiday offers are amazing.

So is there actually any risk of you catching it? Could you contract it? As Swine Flu cases are dropping, the press are not going to be advertising it quite as much. An article posted in the Sunday Times Travel section even mentions Mexican Hoteliers offering free holidays for 3 YEARS to any tourists who catch Swine Flu within 14 days of visiting their resorts.

So go ahead and try some Mexico holidays or try something more Caribbean like Grenada holidays or Tobago holidays, prices for all of these places have dropped dramatically, your sure to find something you like. If you think of it this way, your just as likely to catch Swine Flu anywhere in the world because it has traveled the globe.

Do you know as much about the Caribbean as you think, or is it all just about the Celebrities?

Even though it does have celebrities living within it, the Caribbean deserves more knowledge to be divulged about this wonderful location. For years and years, celebrities have chosen the Caribbean as there get-away vacation? If you would like to find out a quick few things about the Caribbean then I implore you to read this post. They may even give you more reason to explore these collections of Islands on holiday.

Mentioned above was the term collection of islands. More than 7000 islands and reefs make up the region called the Caribbean. The entire Caribbean has a population of about 30 million people currently living there. Before the Europeans arrived and started to change the local culture and communities, the population was believed to be about 750,000.

So that’s the general gist of the base facts now for something a little better known. In 1492 Columbus arrived in the Caribbean where he named it the West Indies. The reason the Caribbean Islands received this name, was because Columbus thought that he had arrived in the Indies in Asia. So you could head to areas in the Bahamas on luxury holidays and find out some interesting information on Columbus route.

The Caribbean is also one of the most Bio Diverse regions in the world. It has been classified as one of the Conservation International hot-spots. Because of the arrival of the Europeans in the late 15th century, many of the species were either wiped out or forced close to extinction. The Caribbean used to be host to Giant owls or even the Giant Ground sloth’s. Because of the arrival of Europeans in the earlier centuries, species have now been driven to endangerment.

So visit the Caribbean on Caribbean holidays and learn about new cultures and environments. This location is a hot-spot for tourists coming from all over the world. Tobago holidays have been a massively growing tourist attraction.

Luxury holidays are now available for everyone everywhere!

Travel first class; go to beautiful destinations around the world. What better holiday is there if it’s not a luxury one? Luxury holidays have sometimes just been the thing of dreams, but most prices are falling and can be afforded by many more of us? All the prices from all the companies around the world are coming down, just to get more people to go abroad with them.

Caribbean holidays have been fantasy destinations for many of us, but most of the time they are just out of reach. It will be more accommodating for the average person to afford these new costs. Going first class has never been cheap, but these prices have dropped as well. If you want to go to the Caribbean and go on Grenada holidays, you will find that prices have even fallen to about six hundred pounds in some places. The price of All inclusive holidays have come down as well. The cost of the entire holiday will then be displayed for us and all we need to worry about is spending money.

However holidays abroad, and especially luxury ones are still a little expensive. Especially when you compare holidays overseas to holidays in your own country. Some people might say that it is better and cheaper just to go down to the beach in you local area, rather than going abroad for a huge amount more. When you consider this, the thought of going on a luxury holiday for a fair amount more than going to your beach, seems pointless.

What you need to do is decide a couple of months before you plan your holiday if you can save up a little extra cash, if you are going to go on luxury holidays, now is the time to do it. The Prices are down so it wont take that long to save up for the finances. So why not just save up some cash for yourself to enjoy a nice holiday.
