Folk across the planet have been going to the south of Africa to go on one of the most amazing holidays available to the holiday maker.  Safari holidays have slowly started to become one of the most popular vacations available.  So why are people trying these new holiday experiences?

Well the best way to stay in tip top shape is to exercise and what better way to exercise then being in paradise.  These holidays offer the tourist a chance to explore the hot plains of Africa on foot (with a guide) but never the less on foot.Walking is something that people laugh at, but if you walk a couple of hours then you could burn huge amounts of calories. The air is amazing in Africa it is so clean with hardly any pollution whatsoever. This literally allows your body to take in great amounts of oxygen on your trip.

If you make the decision to go on a Kenya Safari then you will be able to explore the great and magnificent outdoors. If you want to see some of the greatest wildlife and get rid of those horrid calories off then this is the place to be.The greatest thing about these types of holiday is that anyone, whether big, small, fat or skinny can participate.  In most cases you won't even feel like you are doing the exercise, but let me assure you, you will lose a little weight. The foos is mainly great healthy vegetables with a pinch of high protein natural meat.

All of this will provide you with a great fitness regime.

For superb South africa Holidays and Zanzibar Holidays I can guarantee you will be truly delighted and come back a happy person.

Spas are Recession Proof Says ISPA

You might think that during a global recession people would be cutting back on their spa treatments. You might think that people would be caring less about what they look like right now and more about making sure they have a roof over their heads and food in their mouths. You might be surprised to learn then that the International Spa Assosication (ISPA) has suggested recently that health spa are recession proof. They then backed this up with figures that showed visits to health spas in 2008 were up a whopping 16% on 2007 statistics. But how can this be?

ISPA has said that spas will survive simply because they are adaptable and are able to offer people what they think they want depending on the current climate. What is meant by this is that a spa will offer people indulgent and pampering treatments when everything is going well and they have lots of money. They offer luxury manicures and indulgent body wraps, using the idea of ‘why not? You deserve it’.They cannot of course survive on this principle during a downturn however. People would not buy into the idea of treating themselves or spending money of luxuries they do not need. It is therefore necessary for spas to make some changes to what they seem to be offering.

Spas can claim to offer people exactly what they need when they are suffering from a period of high stress or anxiety. A full body massage is usually the first thing they push, along with the suggestion that it will remove all the tension from your body and get you back on your feet again. Instead of pampering facials, you can now get a invigorating exfoliating scrub to get rid of all that old bad skin and emerge a brand new butterfly with a fresh outlook on life and a positive attitude towards any problems you may be facing

How Good Can Holidays Be For Your Health?

People go on holiday for all sorts of reasons, but stress reduction has to be up there with the most popular. They’ve been working hard all year and just want to get away from it all to blow off a little steam or just forget about it all for a couple of weeks whilst sipping martinis around a pool. But often people don’t realise just how important this stress reduction is to their health and why? Below we examine the benefits that holidays can have on getting you back on the road to recovery.

The Sun. Provider of all heat and light to the globe, the sun is often most peoples best friend on holiday. Aside from the obvious positive effects of being in the sun, like improved warmth, ability to spend more time outside in the fresh air and of course getting an attractive skin color, there are medical benefits as well. The eyes are very sensitive to light levels and if there is not enough of it around, they will trigger the body to release melatonin in to the blood stream. This makes us feel tired, lethargic and sleepy. When the sun is beaming however, when you’re enjoing hot Canada holidays for example, the eyes take in a lot of light, less melatonin is produced and we feel more energized, happy and less stressed.

Less anxiety. There is an inbuilt system that gets triggered when we are anxious or are worrying about anything that prepares us for “fight or flight” but does our bodies no good at all in the medium-long term. The adrenal glands are stimulated by the hypothalamus to increase the levels or cortisol and adrenaline in the blood. Blood pressure, rate of breathing, and pulse (among other things) then increases as a result. If these functions do not return back to their normal operations, before long they will become stressed themselves and can malfunction. By going on new and fun trips such as enterttaining  Orlando holidays in Disney Land or maybe beach-break American holidays, you’ll get some time away from your problems, get some distractions, and give your body a chance to rest. Believe it or not, many doctors and other medical professionals are now suggesting to their patients to take holidays as a method of combating stress.

Sea air has received the general thought that it is fantastically good for you and that smell is a sign your lungs are filled with freshness, but how good is it for you? Let’s start with the good points to going on a beach holiday, and why it is good for your health, then we can make a decision later…

What’s better than going to the beach and having a good swim? Swimming is supposed to be the best exercise form for you; it gets every muscle working together, and your heart will get pumping blood at a constant rate. Your heart will work harder when you are swimming, this is great because you get a good bit of exercise, and because your having fun you don’t even realise. Coupled with swimming in the sea is the sea water itself, sea water is very good for your skin. Clearing up acne and permanent scars is something that the high levels of salt in the sea are great at.

The sun is also good for your skin (in small doses). The sunlight provides our skin with Vitamin D which helps to defend against skin cancer and multiple sclerosis.

If anything the one thing we can all agree on (as long as you have a good holiday) is that holidays are best for reducing stress levels. Medical problems can be caused by stress, you could have a heart attack or develop skin diseases. Controlling stress levels will reduce chances of getting a medical illness. Being able to go on luxury holidays by the beach will relieve stress will help you to clear your head as well.

Now for the bad points, let’s say you were looking at Caribbean holidays for example. You cant help it, at some point you will be on a beach. The sun is going to be following you wherever you go. In high amounts the sun wont be very good for you, some of us will know what it can do. We have all been there, stayed in the sun too long and noticed we are shedding skin or glowing lobster red, the skin is just getting cooked.

In recent studies it has been shown that the sea air isn’t actually that brilliant for you. Although the air is cleaner than that, say in a city, it contains some interesting substances. This is worth taking down but dont panic its not all that serious. DMS (dimethyl sulphide) is a substance that animals living in the sea release, it can cause irritation to the eyes and the mucous membranes. Nitryl chloride is a second substance that was found by the beach and in the sea, it is a respiratory inhibitor, which means we find it hard to breathe but it is reduced in amount by the sun.

So are beach holidays good for you? If you make sure that you take care of yourself, then these holidays are great for you, relieving stress is key. Is this all really enough to prevent abyone going to the sea, the bad points aren’t strong enough. So if you planning weddings abroad then go for it, swim in the sea and enjoy the sun.
