In this installment of our cruise holidays guide we look at Hawaii…

Taking a Hawaii cruise is like the ultimate dream for lots of people worldwide. Few travel adventures match the excitement of sailing in the Pacific Ocean’s depths on a luxurious cruise liner, looking for paradise, which is found in Hawaii and the neighboring islands. If you have never been to paradise, then here’s your chance! Sunny beaches, palm trees being blow by the soothing Hawaiian winds, vibrant sunsets all await those who journey out on a Hawaiian cruise.

There are many ports of call all along the western coasts of North America for those hailing from Canada all the way down to North America. Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver all offer ports from which you can depart from.

Hawaiian cruise vacations usually consist of a 15-18 day round trip, taking in Hawaii and a couple of other nearby island ports. But you can always pay for a one-way trip to Hawaii on a cruise ship and then fly to your next destination from her international airport.

If you are looking for a longer vacation, most companies can extend the trip to 25-30 days, and perhaps even more. If you want to experience all that Hawaii has to offer, these extended trips can offer amazing adventures into some of the other islands such as Lanai, Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

A Hawaiian cruise offers more than just drinking hurricanes by the beach; there are many other adventures you can discover there. Explore the dormant volcanoes in the small Kilauea crater or become more adventurous and find the amazing Mauna Kea. If you don’t like to hike, you can also do a helicopter tour through the Circle of Fire.

And if you want to learn more about Hawaii’s impact on the world, visit her sugar or pineapple plantations. Don’t forget you still have plenty of ocean to explore; from snorkeling to surfing to taking an underwater adventure in a submarine; your Hawaiian cruise can offer a little bit of everything!

Europe is one of the premier cruise destinations in the world. Amazing cities, historical artifacts of ancient cultures of long past, incredible scenery, all of these wait for the tourist at each port of call on European cruises.

European cruises depart from most major seaports around Europe. They usually include particular regions in Europe, while some companies provide a quick tour of the key areas on the European shoreline.

Starting in Northern Europe, cruises around Scandinavia and the Baltic States are popular, especially those that take in the Norwegian fjords. Here, you can delight in stunning scenery where mountains rise up like towers in every direction, and where waterfalls and glaciers are almost within touching distance. There are majestic cities too. If you are feeling adventurous and do a little research you can find great walking tours of all the major cities of Scandinavia and fit them right into your European cruise.

If Scandinavia is not what you are wanting, then you can always choose a cruise that visits ports of call in Ireland, Scotland and even France. Think about exploring Scottish ruins or seeing the heather in bloom; visiting the famous pubs of Ireland; wandering through a French town in search of the perfect baguette; these are just some of the things you can do from a Western European Cruise. Another option would be incorporating trips to historical ports of call like England’s Portsmouth, in which Nelson’s ‘Victory’ could be visited.

Taking a more southern direction into the Mediterranean Sea, a European cruise has the grandeur of the stunning and historic Mediterranean shoreline. The French Riviera, Croatia, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, and Spain all boast their very own sites to visit. The famed Turkish bazaars, The Coliseum of Rome, Monaco’s grandiose vista, and even the birthplace of Salvador Dali all welcome those who decide to take a Europe Cruise within the Mediterranean.

You can also island hop through the Mediterranean by visiting the Balearic Islands. Enjoy the mystic feeling of island hopping between the eastern Cyprus to the Balearic islands to the west, be amazed by classic Greece and its wondrous islands.

Holidays to most people mean fun, sun and blowing off some of the steam that has accumulated in their everyday lives. However, one of the fastest growing sectors in the holiday industry is the singles holiday, particularly luxury cruises singles holidays. This is where people go away to lovely destinations with the goal of finding some like-minded people and hopefully building relationships. Here is a guide to the most important things to bear in mind when going on this type of holiday and how to present yourself in the best possible way.

Have a glow. If you are going to a hot location like you might do on silversea cruises, you really don’t want to be turning up looking like a milk bottle. Everyone knows that first-impressions are vital in situations such as these and having some colour to your skin always helps. Don’t get carried away and end up looking like you’ve emptied a whole body of fake tan on yourself, a healthy glow will do

Relax. If you are uptight, nervous or shifty no one will want to talk to you. You’ll find that everyone on these types of holidays are in the same situation and will much more willing to communicate if you let your guard down, if only just a little bit. If the situation were reversed and you met someone very nervous, your advice would probably be to calm down and don’t worry. You just need to convince yourself to trust your own advice

Enjoy yourself
. Following on from the last point, finding someone and living happily ever after should not be the be all and end all of your holiday. At the end of the day you still go on holiday to have fun and relax and this should be no different on singles holidays. If you do meet someone that’s great, but if not there is always next time. For singles cruises consider AMA waterways cruises

For the majority of people going on holiday is all about getting away for a while, relaxing and distressing. For most people, a few weeks holiday per year is all they get, so they need to use them chill out. Of course everyone finds different types of holidays relaxing, from a luxury cruise to trekking the rain forest.Below are some of the best though.

Beach holidays. This type of holiday has been considered the archetypal relaxer’s holiday of choice for many years now. This is largely true because you can for the most part spend your days lying down, sipping cold drinks and getting a tan.  Some people however get stressed and flustered by hot weather, so whilst it is clearly a popular choice, it is not hands down winner.

Cruises. Cruise holidays, especially river cruise holidays are another popular choice for those seeking a relaxing time. There is everything you could possibly need on a cruise ship within a five minute walk, so you never need to worry about traveling around or forgetting to take anything with you. Also, you can get to experience some of the finest sites that earth has to offer without actually having to put any effort into getting there. Also with cruises such as Oceania cruises, you’ve got a high chance of enjoying some great sun as well so you don’t miss out here either.

City Breaks. This type of holiday may not immediately conjuror up images of relaxation for you. However, when you visit a new city you tend to enter tourist mode. This is a very strange phenomenon where tourists stroll around the city in a trance like state, studying the architecture and watching the people go about their business. The effect of this tends to cause people to become very relaxed and enter a happy-go-lucky state of mind, where they can really enjoy themselves and release any stress built up.
