It is argued that holidays abroad can be very good for your general health, but the main problem is the heat. There is a lot of evidence to support that the sun can actually be extremely damaging to peoples general health. It can’t really be as bad as this though, can it?

If you live in the Caribbean you will find that you can deal with the heat a lot better than others from colder countries. If you don’t visit that often, then it will be harder to cope with. The time it takes to burn the skin without sun lotion is minimal in hot countries. This is an area that needs to be focused on, the sun can cause a lot of damage to the skin, but only in extreme doses.

In order to stop you getting sun burnt, make sure that you apply sun cream. This simply moisturises into the skin but provides block from the damaging rays of the sun. We do have to take into account some of these problems, but what are they? Sometimes the extreme heat can cause you to feel nausea or can cause some people to pass out. This can become sun stroke, which isn’t fun for anybody. Amy Winehouse seems to be the latest victim of Sun Stroke, claiming that Michael Jackson spoke to her in her dreams and told her to stop taking drugs.

The best way to combat sun stroke are to get under the shade every now and then to cover yourself. Many people believe that swimming in the sea or in a pool can actually help dull the effects of sun burn or sun stroke. However this is not the point, although it can help with sun stroke, if you don’t have any sun lotion on, then it can actually be much worse than normal.

Although the sun does have the ability to be a bad thing, if you’re careful Caribbean holidays and Diving holidays can be enjoyable.

Don’t get sun stroke on your holiday!

The only problem with holidays in hot places, is not taking care of yourself when the sun starts beating down. There is much proof, that shows the sun can damage people’s health quite severely. Can it really be that bad though?

Most of the people that were either born in the Caribbean or have lived there for a long time will have more tolerance to the sun. If you don’t visit that often, then it will be harder to cope with. The time it takes to burn the skin without sun lotion is minimal in hot countries. But this can only happen if this is not treated well, if you don’t keep an eye on it, then it could get very bad, in some extreme circumstances resulting in skin cancer.

The best way to look after your skin in the sun, and probably the easiest, is to just apply some sun screen. This simply moisturises into the skin but provides block from the damaging rays of the sun. What we need to determine, is how serious are these problems? Becoming sleepy and feeling off balance is a sign that the sun and the heat are really getting to you. The problem is this can manifest itself as sun stroke. Amy Winehouse seems to be the latest victim of Sun Stroke, claiming that Michael Jackson spoke to her in her dreams and told her to stop taking drugs.

The best way to combat sun stroke are to get under the shade every now and then to cover yourself. People often have the misconception that swimming can prevent sun stroke and sun burn. Unfortunately this is not the case, although it does help with sun stroke, if you don’t have any sun cream or lotion on, then it can actually be much worse than normal.

Although the sun does have the ability to be a bad thing, if you’re careful Caribbean holidays and Diving holidays can be enjoyable.

Personally staying at home for a week would get pretty tedious, but people are doing it more and more. This has been considered doing your bit for the English recession and helping to maintain the money flow in England. Well if you ask me, if people are just going to stay at home on their time off, they won’t be generating any money for anyone.

So why aren’t people travelling abroad for a sunny vacation, prices are lower than ever. Holidays to the Caribbean have never been this little in cost, there are even more flights to these locations as well! Well the main reason that is obvious as to why people aren’t embarking on these deals is the recession. Sometimes it won’t matter how much the holiday travel fees have dropped, they will still prove to be quite hard to save up for. Still, considering you can go to the Caribbean for less than 500 pounds per person, a holiday for a couple still has to be on the cards.

Families will struggle the most from these holiday prices. Basically the best practice is to save up for one massive treat, don’t spend money on smaller expenses like going out for meals, just give yourself a big holiday. It doesn’t make any difference to our economy if you holiday abroad, it might improve it actually. Some people really don’t think though, if all they are worried about is not supplying the British economy with money, then think of it this way, your not paying any British Travel agents if you don’t go anywhere.

Why would anybody want a Staycation. Who would like to spend time at home for a week or two, why not take the family out even out to a different place in the same country? Holidays with children are much easier in the same country but you can take them to a beach or a resort a hundred miles away or so. Try to be a little selfish once in a while, nothing severe, but treating yourself to a nice holiday will do you good.

If you are looking for Caribbean holidays, then try Barbaods holidays or St Lucia holidays, they are great fun for all the family.

Spending a holiday on three Caribbean Islands and swimming with Dolphins!

It was time for me to get out of the country and go on a decent holiday. It was time that i went and got on a plane and got away from everything, i have been working as a lawyer non-stop for the past 15 years and needed some time to relax. So starting off this new journey, what better idea is there than heading off to the Caribbean?

So I booked a two week holiday that would take me to three islands. First off, was the Bahamas, the largest of the three islands. I thought to myself that when i get here i just want to chill by the beach, little did i know i was going to find something i really wanted to try. The dolphins were amazing, I went swimming with them and they almost seemed to be very patient with me. Probably the smartest animal in the world, they are very friendly and intelligent. Any cost is worth this experience, i had one whole hour on my own with a trainer and a dolphin. The Bahamas was great, so far Caribbean holidays, well worth it.

So next I was taken to St Lucia. This was a pretty island, it’s beauty enthralled me, i even spotted myself a celebrity in the form of Amy Winehouse. Everyone kept on describing St Lucia to me as a sandy island with beaches and clear blue seas, which is true, but they forgot to mention the rain forest as well. Our guide took us out on a safari in the Caribbean, truly amazing. I had heard a lot about St Lucia holidays, but seeing it first hand was brilliant.

Next up was a real treat, Barbados. I had been looking forward to this last part of my holiday, I have always wanted to go on Barbados holidays, but it has not been completely available to me. This was the night life island, going out in the evenings was great fun and I had the most wonderful time, I would recommend these holidays to anyone that asks.

An Aroma to make you want a holiday!

This new creation has all come about because of the recession, the travel agents need to get some higher conversion rates, and this technique appears to be working. These pesky travel agents are now using smells to try and convince us we will be missing out on a great holiday offer. We just need these aroma’s to temporarily jolt our memories, reminding us of a good holiday.

Encouraging people to book holidays can be a quite a task unless they have already made up their minds. Some people won’t be able to sense the smell at all, but you never know this might be just enough to help give you a friendly push into a holiday. These travel agents are using the smell of; oranges, and coconuts to create a different smelling experience for different places, oranges work well with the Mediterranean. Barbados holidays have benefited from all kinds of sales techniques; they seem to be one of the most popular holidays this year.

Thompson has claimed that Coconut is the best choice and used frequently throughout their shops. This particular smell is that of Sun Cream Lotion, a very clever way to get people thinking about the sun and the sea. First Choice has been using a smell similar to that of an ice cream to appeal more to families. Caribbean holidays sales recently have been doing very well.

However it has not been the Travel Agent who has first come up with this idea to play with our noses to increase sales. Travelodge used smells to keep memories of the place stored in people’s minds. In order to make there customers stay an easily remembered one, they used the aroma of apple pie or grass.

So how does this actually help them to boost sales? Obviously some stimuli will cause you to remember somethings, so why should smell be any different. We might be able to notice the aroma when we walk in, but we wont be able to immediately tie it with a place or location. You will experience something that causes a subconscious memory to re-appear and remind you of a specific holiday. So try St Lucia holidays for that relaxing experience, and a relaxing new aroma!

Should Cruise ships be Banned?

The size of cruise ships is phenomenal. These ships can hold many tourists and have a wide array of staff. Because of all this, they can then generate a huge amount of waste products, and they then don’t know what to do with it?

Well many of them do dispose of their waste when they get back to port, sensibly and cleanly. It goes without saying that some of these cruise liners believe they can get away with dumping this waste in the ocean. They simply cannot contain all of the waste in the cruise ship and are forced to release it into the open water. This “dumping” is unacceptable if we want to keep the oceans in clean areas like the Caribbean clean. Around 2003 these ships were creating about thirty thousand gallons of sewage each day. It is difficult for us to say what the output of these ships is exactly, mainly because a new study has not been carried out.

However this isn’t the main problem. The biggest problem with the cruise liners is what the release into the atmosphere. The Engines that these beast like machines use, create immense amounts of pollution damaging everything around them. Over a 10 year period from 1991 to 2001 the amount of cruises bought just in the UK rose from 193,000 to 776,000. These figures show that the amount of cruises each year will continue to rise. St Lucia holidays have become very popular, the St Lucian government has even banned some cruise liners from entering its waters.

One thing is for sure though, either we find a new way to power these Cruise ships or we are going to have to forget about them altogether. If you’re thinking of going on Barbados holidays or having weddings abroad, then think quickly before the Caribbean is just another victim of pollution. Soon some of these wonderful places will be so damaged that we wont want to or be able to visit them.

Economic times across the world are suffering. We are finding it more and more difficult to do something for ourselves in our spare time. It has been hard for any of us to scrape some money together. So what is there for us to grab from this dark place that we have all been thrown in top.

Well help is here. The Recession and talk of how money is at an all time low, has overshadowed some amazing offers. Now holidays cost the same they did over twenty years ago. You can even find luxury all inclusive holidays at prices as low as 500 pounds. The Recession hasn’t just forced the public into spending carefully it has forced the travel agents to really trim on how much they charge for their holidays.

St Lucia and Barbados are now offering some of the most amazing holiday deals, and they have become some of the largest tourist money spinners in the world. With these prices dropping to all new lows people can now invest in these holidays without much worry on overall costs. We have to be grateful for these new low costs presented to us. There is no need to worry about all of this recession talk when it comes to holidays this year, prices are plummeting.

We should in a sense be thanking the position that the recession has placed travel agents in mainly because it is easier for us to go on our dream holidays. Weddings have become even more popular in the Caribbean, in fact the prices for these weddings is falling as well. If you want to have your dream Weddings abroad, then now is the time to consider it.

Although times are still hard for the people, these prices are actually allowing those that couldn’t go on St Lucia holidays or Barbados holidays to consider them and take up the new opportunity.

Of the Caribbean Islands, St Lucia and Barbados are the most beautiful. They have established a very strong tourism trade and are one of the Caribbean’s biggest holiday hot spots. There history is a little different and so are the Caribbean holidays that they have to offer.

British sailors landed on Barbados in 1625 and realised how much potential it had. Now a large hot-spot for holidays, Barbados brings many tourists to the Caribbean. The British colonials then took slaves over to work on the Sugar Cane plantains that supported Barbados so well. Becoming an independent country was a hard and long challenge for Barbados, but they got there eventually. Barbados Offers us an exciting experience if it is considered as a holiday, adventures and underwater safari’s are available to any body that would like to try it. If you want to have an amazing experience down the beach front, Barbados has a fantastic array of bars, clubs and pubs.

Barbados used to be an out of reach destination because holiday prices were so high, but not in the economic downturn prices have dropped massively. Now you can go in a submarine trip off the coast of the island and see all of the marine life, or go swimming in the coral reef. Barbados holidays are always great fun.

St Lucia on the other hand has a somewhat different history. This was not a place for slaves, this was a place for the upper class. This location was fought over by the French and the British over 14 times. This gave St Lucia the name “Helen of the West Indies” as it was likened to Helena of Troy. Every year on the 22nd of February, the people of St Lucia celebrate the day that they became an Independent state in 1979.

St Lucia is now one of the biggest and best wedding destinations on the planet. It also has its very own, one in the world only, dive through Volcano called the sulphur springs. You embark on St Lucia holidays every year and not get bored of its beauty or its adventurousness.
