Brought to you by free car insurance quote.

Even if you are confined to a wheelchair or on crutches, you can still enjoy Disneyworld. If you are on crutches, you should consider renting a Disneyland Scooter to get around the park. The rental fee is $35 per day, with a $20 deposit. A valid driver’s license is required, and you must be eighteen years old or older.

You can also choose to rent a wheelchair, which is not electronic. The rental fee for a wheelchair is $8 per day, with a $20 deposit. You do not have to rent your wheelchair or Scooter from Disney World. You can choose to rent the apparatus from a private company, and have the wheelchair or scooter delivered to your hotel room. You may find that it is cheaper to rent from a private company, as opposed to renting from Disney World.

All of the restaurants and shops are wheelchair accessible, as are the entertainment areas. When it comes to wheelchairs, your problem will be accessing some of the rides. Some rides are not appropriate for people who are in wheelchairs, while others are perfectly suitable. For instance, you will not be able to enjoy Donald’s Boat, Sailing Ship, or Tarzan’s Tree house.

However, there are many attractions that you can enjoy, such as The Disney Gallery, Disneyland Monorail, the Disneyworld Railroad, the Tiki Room, The Golden Horseshoe, It’s A Small World, Mark Twain Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island. Some attractions will require you to be transferred from your wheelchair, such as Alice in Wonderland, Indiana Jones, and the King Arthur Carrousel.

Cast members and service personnel will be happy to help with Guest wheelchair transfers, and if you should lose a wheelchair or scooter that you’ve rented from Disneyland, simply show the ticket for the wheelchair or scooter, and Disneyland will happily supply you with another one. However, if you lose a wheelchair or scooter that was rented from an outside company, Disneyland will not be able to help you replace it, and you may have to pay the rental company the full value of the chair. This is something to consider when you are trying to decide whether to rent from Disney World or a private company.

Whether you can enjoy a ride in your wheelchair, or you must be transferred from your wheelchair to the ride, you can actually enjoy most of the rides at Disneyworld. Do not allow the fact that you can’t walk around the park keep you from planning a Disneyland Vacation. Again, Disneyland was designed with everyone in mind!

Andalucia is probably one of Spain’s most sundry areas with its mountainous regions leading down to the Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical, Costa de Almeria and to the far west neighboring Portugal, the pretty Costa de la Luz.  It is excellent for a holiday in winter as well as summer as there’s skiing in the Sierra Nevada.

An Andalucia vacation has much to supply from its countrywide Parks to a trip to Jerez for some sherry tasting.  Also not to be missed are a day out to the fantastic town of Granada with its Alhambra Palace, Jaen or similarly Cordoba which also has much Moorish history.

The white towns ( pueblos blancos ) named thanks to the Moorish practice of whitewashing the buildings are a glance back in time to traditional Spain.  Towns such as Ronda, Gaucin and Jimena de la Frontera to name just a few.

Inland, rural Andalusia has three excellent cities to explore, namely Cordoba, Granada and the capital of the region – Seville.  In addition to these historic cities with their Moorish past, there are many conventional and quaint whitewashed villages to visit, as well as nature reserves or simply walking or hiking in the scenic countryside.

Western rural Andalusia is home to the excellent town of Ronda.  It has got a impressive setting being located on a massive outcrop of rock.  It is also renowned for its bullring, which is the oldest in the country.  The Punte Nuevo – ‘the New Bridge’ spans the gorge and links the old part of Ronda with the new.  This part of Andalusia is also home to the whitewashed hamlets – pueblos blancos – of Gaucin, Jimena de la Frontera as well as pretty towns and villages such as Alhaurin el Grande, Alhaurin de la Torre and Coin.  Also in this area near the town of El Chorro is the geographical wonder of the Garganta del Chorro, a massive natural chasm in the limestone mountain.  The national park of El Torcal is also favored by hikers, hikers and nature lovers.

In the east of the Malaga region Antequera is a busy market town inside reach of Malaga for a short break.  It is a more conventional town and is well known for manufacturing olive oil.  It is feasible to walk round the walls of the 13th century hilltop castle from where there are wonderful breathtaking views over the encompassing area.

Some of the smaller rustic hamlets in this area are Villanueva de la Concepcion, Alcaucin and the pretty white hamlet of Competa.  Here and in similar villages you will find a treasure house of culture and a taste of real Spain.  We have many vacation fincas and cortijos to lease as well as interesting hamlet houses all set in agricultural andalucian locations, yet the sea in most cases is inside an hours drive.  If you are looking for a vacation rental to escape from it all, then this is the area of choice.

Where do you want to travel in the world? For an idea of where to go on your next vacation, visit famouswonders.com. While you are on the site, also take a look at places to see in Spain.

London (PRLEAK), 2009 – According to hotel specialists Hotels4u.com, the economic crisis has forced travelers to tighten up their budget this year and seek affordable options closer to home. With the Euro gaining strength and a number of cheap hotels on offer, holidaymakers are looking at Turkey and Egypt as alternatives to their favorite European destinations. With the objective of saving money high on everyone’s agenda, these countries are a viable substitute for a great vacation.

Turkey seems to be a favorite amongst travelers for varied reasons. Ideally situated just outside the Eurozone, Turkey’s climatic conditions favor those who seek some summer or winter sun without having to travel outside Europe. With a number of incredible deals on offer, this city becomes the automatic choice for budget travelers. The country ranks fourth in Thomas Cook’s Holiday Cost of Living survey where the average price for a three course meal including beer and coffee was only £33 as compared to £49 in the UK.

The main influencing factor behind Turkey becoming a preferred destination is the current exchange of 2.4 Liras to the Pound. This gives holidaymakers more spending power as compared to other neighboring European countries. Moreover, with a plethora of cheap accommodation options available in the country, this becomes an added bonus for holidaymakers. October 2009 will see all-inclusive rates for hotels in Turkey dropping to as low as £10 per person per night.

Steven Moore, Head of eCommerce at Hotels4u.com seconds the opinion that Turkey’s strategic location just outside the Eurozone makes it the ideal destination for those who don’t want to travel far for some winter or summer sun. In addition, hotels and other accommodation options are available at an incredibly low rate.
The Land of the Pharaohs is at number five in the Thomas Cook Holiday Cost of Living survey. The same three course meal with beer and coffee averaged £34. Cheap deals and discount holiday packages are in abundance in Egypt, which once again leaves tourists with more pocket money. On an average, the cost of a seven-night all-inclusive package this October works out to merely £18 per person per night.

Steven Moore added that trends indicate an increase in the number of special offers in Egypt, giving tourists the chance to enjoy quality accommodation at affordable prices that were much less than expected. Prices drop even further to £9 per person per night this October for bed and breakfast options. However, Steven was of the opinion that opting for all-inclusive package deals would help cut costs even further. For the latest hotel deals in Turkey and Egypt visit www.hotels4u.com.

Jerusalem, A City of Culture and History

Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, is one of the most amazing cities in the world.Jerusalem remains a chief site of the major religions of the world, as it is surrounded by a history of thousands of years of culture and civilization.  This unique city has been sought after by kings and countries for centuries.  Perhaps this helps explain why Jerusalem remains one of the most interesting and relaxing vacation spots in the world.  The history of its culture takes one into a world of what “was” and the stresses of everyday life seem to melt away while soaking in the current civilization of Jerusalem’s interesting lifestyle and people.

King David decided back in 1010 BC that he wanted Jerusalem to be the capital of his country, Israel.  A man of war and motivation, David defeated the Jebusites and made plans to build a temple of worship in the city.  His son, Solomon, deemed the wisest man in the entire world, actually built the temple during a peaceful time in Jewish history.  This temple is still a place of worship today, a landmark to the people of Israel.

Due to a civil war, the Israelite nation was divided into two parts after the death of King Solomon.  Jerusalem remained a part of the southern kingdom of Judah until nearly 700 BC when the Assyrians conquered the country.  In 600 BC, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon took away all rights of the city when he invaded Jerusalem.  Zedekiah, a Jew, was placed in charge of the country, but only as a puppet ruler.  Zedekiah refused to comply and finally, eighteen months later, Nebuchadnezzar leveled the city of Jerusalem and deported most of the population to Babylon.

There were many similar battles that took place in Jerusalem’s history until the Roman army, under King Herod’s rule, took control of the city.  Herod rebuilt the second Great Temple and doubled the size of the original Temple Mount, surrounding it with great protective walls.  The wall on the western side is the longest and is the area where the Jews still meet to pray.  They have prayed the same prayer three times per day for thousands of years, “To Jerusalem, thy city, shall we return with joy”.  This wall is considered the holiest place in Judaism and it still exists today as the last wall of the Jewish temple.

For the next several hundred years, the Romans maintained control of the country.  Islam began to rise in 600 AD and the Jews joined with the Muslims to defeat the Persians.  Once again, the Jews were able to settle in Jerusalem.  However, in 1099, the pope unified crusades to kill all the Jews by burning them alive in one of their synagogues.

At the beginning of the sixteenth century, the Ottoman Turks took over Jerusalem.  They then began to require huge taxes of the Jews because they were only interested in the Holy Land as a place to prosper financially.  Finally, the Zionist movement allowed the Jews to return to Palestine so they could establish what is known as the first modern Jewish settlement.

In 1917, the British took control of Jerusalem and it became a part of the British Mandate.  Their war for independence in 1948 divided Jerusalem between Israel and Jordan.  Finally in 1967, the Jordanians were driven out of the country and Jerusalem was again united under Israeli rule.  Regardless of the issues the Israelites have faced, they remain unanimous in the fact that Jerusalem must always remain the undivided capital of Israel.

Although Jerusalem has had her difficult times, she remains one of the most interesting and diverse cities in the world.  The Old City of Jerusalem, with its four walls, is now surrounded by modern Jerusalem.  The Western Wall, where Jews meet to pray, the Temple Mount, and the Al Aqsa Mosque are a few of the holy sites in the area.  There are multiple places that will be of interest to tourists by providing hours of entertainment and education.

Other interesting places to visit include the Mount of Olives and the West Wall Tunnels, where there are regular tours.  Yad Avshalom, believed to be the tomb of Absalom, King David’s son, and Zedekiah’s Cave are both sites worth visiting.  Mount Zion is of great interest to tourists, as this is the location where Jesus partook of the Last Supper with his disciples.

You will be able to enjoy a relaxing, carefree vacation at one of the comfortable hotels in the area.  There are hotels in Israel of every size and price range to meet the needs of tourists.  Dead Sea hotels are plentiful as well, where you will find luxury rooms, spas and accessibility to all your traveling needs – just 30 minutes away from Jerusalem.  Finding a hotel in Jerusalem is not difficult and you will find that there are hotels in every location – in the midst of the bustling metro or inside the old city.  Wherever you decide to stay, you will not be disappointed as you discover a modern city abounding with culture, history and life.
