Whatever the type of vacation you prefer, the chances are high that Denmark will be able to offer just what you’re after. Denmark’s most distinctive feature is its variety – whatever type of experience you are looking for can be found in Denmark-glamour, escape, culture, or just plain relaxing. Jutland, the Danish peninsula, connects the country to the mainland of Europe. Step away from Jutland, however, and you find Denmark is also made up of hundreds of small islands. For an island getaway, Denmark is perfect, with just a small percentage of the islands being inhabited. This is a nation who are born, live and die by the seas – and regardless of where you choose to vacation, there will be the peaceful sounds of the sea in the background.

By proportion, Denmark has the largest coastline in the world so, it attracts thousands of guest from all over the world, many of whom take advantage of the numerous holiday homes in the area. A cottage at the shore gives you not just the beach but, you can take advantage of the amusement parks, water parks, zoological gardens, museums, and a large number of other attractions, situated inland. This goes, regardless of which part of Denmark you would like to visit.

Although Denmark is one of the world’s smaller nations, you will find it’s beauty and charm all the more engaging due to easy accessibility it offers. One of the major advantages of being so compact is that you will be introduced to all manner of landscape as you move about the various areas. If you are exploring inland you will find plenty of verdant forests and thundering rivers while the shoreline will provide you with sandy treasures. If you choose to holiday in Denmark, decide which type of landscape is right for you – whatever you decide, it will be ready for you when you arrive.

Zealand is the biggest of the many Danish islands. Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen, is its best known city. Copenhagen is the obvious choice for getting a taste of the big city while in Denmark. All the things that make the city exciting-fine dining, high quality shops, world class theatre, and other attractions– make it easy to spend an entire holiday in Denmark here. If you are visiting the coast, don’t forget to stop and meet the mermaid! Denmark has been a constitutional democracy since 1849 but until that time Danish kings ruled the country (the borders of which has varied considerably) from Copenhagen.

There is no more Danish royal rule, but their legacy lives on, with breathtaking castles still welcoming visitors and reminding them of times past. A vestige of royal life is Amalienborg Palace, near the heart of Copenhagen, still houses the last of Dutch royalty, Queen Margrethe II. Not far from Amalienborg is Rosenborg Palace, home to the Danish crown jewels, Rosenborg is well worth a visit as well.

Another of Denmark’s islands well worth seeing is Bornholm, towards the eastern shores. You will notice immediately that Bornholm’s landscape is unlike any that you have seen in Denmark so far. Bornholm features dramatic cliffs and rock formations that dip dramatically into the sea. Despite dramatic cliffs and rocks, Bornholm’s beaches are not all wild and untamed – in fact just a little south are perfect beaches for families and sunbathers. Whether for the dramatic scenery or the fantastic beaches, Bornholm has passed the test of time and remains many visitors’ first choice. It doesn’t matter what type of vacation you prefer, whether a city break of a countryside escape, your Danish holiday will be the perfect escape.
The opportunities for having unique holidays in Denmark are close to endless, so it is very difficult to get everything in just one text. My holiday in Vegas was the best decision I ever made!

It was time for me to leave wet and rainy England and head over to America, more accurately to Las Vegas. I had become fed up with just sitting around and working, it was about time that i went out into the world and tried a long holiday. I really wanted to go for a long holiday, and to go somewhere far away, somewhere I hadn’t tried before. Somebody mentioned to me that Las Vegas was the place to be for an exciting holiday.

So that was it I was on my way for Las Vegas Holidays. I landed in McCarran Airport, and was picked up in a car and taken to the Bellagio Hotel. I was astonishingly awe struck. It truly was the best hotel I had ever visited. As soon as you walk in you are stunned by the cleanliness and the sheer beauty of the hotels surroundings. For the price, the room i received was truly beautiful.

As i had decided to come to Vegas, i decided that i had to try my hand at some gambling. So I booked myself in for a few games of blackjack and roulette. It was a real blast, although i didn’t come out on top. I had heard much about the city of Las Vegas, all i needed to do now was see some of the sites and finish the rest of my holiday with a couple of nice drinks.

It was coming to the end of my vacation, so i decided to head back to the hotel. What better way to spend your final day on holiday, than trying your luck on the slot machines. I must have spent about 60 dollars, when all of a sudden the big slot machine I was on starting ringing, people came running up to me and congratulating me. At first I didn’t know what had happened, until I noticed the Giant “Jackpot” flashing sign. I won’t say how much I won, but it was a fair amount. One of the best holidays ever.

I have also recommended to my two sons to have Las Vegas weddings, should be good fun for all of them.
